Parte il “count down”: – 30 giorni alla tredicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”
Quando manca appena un mese alla serata inaugurale del 13 Ottobre, cresce la tensione per conoscere tutte le novità della tredicesima edizione.
L’importante compito di assicurare divertimento e spensieratezza al pubblico del Festival è affidato agli Equivokee. I tre artisti ucraini hanno studiato a Kiev presso l’Accademia del Circo. Con le loro riprese comiche irrompono durante lo svolgimento degli spettacoli coinvolgendo il pubblico in situazioni bizzarre. Leader del gruppo è Oleksandr Bilogub da anni attento alla formazione dei giovani clown nei paesi dell’Europa dell’Est oltre che alla creazione di pantomime comiche.
“Secret of my soul” è il titolo dell’esibizione al cerchio aereo presentato dal duo Marina & Grigorov. I due giovani artisti provengono dall’Ucraina e presentano un numero di acrobatica creato per loro dalla direttrice Marya Remneva. I vari passaggi della loro esibizione, nonostante l’elevato grado di difficoltà, sono realizzati senza alcun cavo di sicurezza. “Secret of my soul” si propone di coinvolgere emotivamente gli spettatori rievocando in loro i ricordi di momenti romantici della loro vita.
Pauliina è una giovane artista finlandese: si è formata a Montreal, presso la National Circus School, dove ha creato il suo numero al trapezio. Dal suo debutto nella pista di un circo sono trascorsi dieci anni: in questo tempo Pauliina ha saputo combinare le sue doti tecniche con l’eleganza e la grazia che oggi contraddistinguono la sua esibizione. Nel suo numero dal titolo “Faraway”, Pauliina invita gli spettatori a sperimentare un senso di profonda libertà e spensieratezza.
Manuel Farina è figlio d’arte ed appartiene ad una famiglia che da molte generazioni si dedica al Circo: fin da bambino ha appreso le basi delle più diverse discipline circensi, ed ha lavorato in pista con i cavalli, al monociclo ed al trapezio. Tre anni fa Manuel ha deciso di seguire la strada di suo padre, l’addestratore Fabrice Farina, ed ha iniziato ad allestire numeri con i grandi felini. Il numero in pista a Latina vede la partecipazione di una tigre, tre leoni, e due leonesse: un classico della tradizione circense connotato dalla particolare vicinanza che Manuel stabilisce con i suoi compagni animali quale risultato della tecnica di addestramento “con dolcezza”.

The Countdown starts: – 30 days to the start of the 13th edition of the International Circus Festival “City of ”
With only a month to go until the curtain goes up at the opening evening on the 13th of October, the suspense increases whilst we await the latest news about this edition.
The important task of providing fun and laughs to the Festival’s audiences is down to Equivokee. These three Ukrainian performers studied at the at . They appear throughout the performances with their comical incursions, encouraging the audience to take an active part in their comical activities. The group’s leader is Oleksandr Bilogub, who has been active for many years in training young clowns in , as well as creating comical pantomimes.
“Secret of my Soul” is the title of the aerial circle performance by duo Marina & Grigorov. These two young performers come from the and are presenting an acrobatic number created for them by Marya Remneva. The various movements in their exhibition, despite their very difficult nature, are executed without safety wires. “Secret of my Soul” seeks to emotionally involve the spectator by evoking memories of romantic moments in their life.
Pauliina is a young performer from : she trained at the on , where she also created her trapeze number. Ten years have gone by since her début in the circus ring: during this period she has worked on perfecting a performance which combines her technical skills with her innate elegance and grace. In her number, entitled “Faraway”, Pauliina invites the audience to share the impression of a carefree sense of liberty.
Manuel Farina comes from a Circus family dating back many generations: as a child he learnt the basics of a number of different Circus disciplines, and has worked in the ring with horses, the unicycle and the trapeze. Three years ago Manuel decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, animal trainer Fabrice Farina, and started to create numbers with big cats. The number he is bringing to Latina’s Circus ring has a tiger, three lions, and two lionesses: a classic in the tradition of the circus, typified here by the easy familiarity with which Manual interacts with his feline companions, a result of training using the positive reinforcement method.
