Ufficializzati i primi due numeri ammessi alla XII edizione del Festival, individuati tra le 261 candidature finora pervenute

Duo Ogor

Sono due coppie di giovani talenti: il Duo Ogor proveniente dalla Polonia e dalla Repubblica Ceca, e la coppia statunitense costituita da Shannon Maguire & Samson Finkelstein.

Mai come quest’anno il lavoro di selezione delle candidature affidato alla “Commissione Artistica” del Festival risulta assai arduo. Sono 261 le richieste di partecipazione giunte da artisti dei cinque continenti e, se l’andamento dovesse continuare ad essere quello di queste settimane, si conta di superare la soglia delle 700 candidature. A sei mesi dall’avvio dell’attesissima dodicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”, la Produzione ha sciolto la riserva circa i primi due numeri ammessi a partecipare all’importante kermesse di spettacolo circense prevista a Latina dal 14 al 18 Ottobre prossimi.

Il Duo Ogor è costituito dal giovane polacco Mariusz Ogor e da Milana Ogorova della Repubblica Ceca. Mentre Mariusz può vantare già 12 anni di impegno nel mondo del Circo, la sua compagna ha al suo attivo un’importante esperienza come ginnasta. Insieme hanno già conquistato numerosi riconoscimenti in ambito internazionale. Porteranno in pista a Latina un affascinante numero di “mano a mano” dal titolo “Adagio Acrobatico”: armonia e sensualità, mescolate con vigore e potenza muscolare sono le parole chiave che meglio descrivono le caratteristiche di un’esibizione che lascia con il fiato sospeso per l’elevatissima padronanza che gli artisti dimostrano ad ogni passaggio.

Shannon Maguire e Samson Finkelstein, 24 anni lei, 22 il suo partner, sono una coppia anche nella vita. I due artisti statunitensi hanno alle loro spalle un curriculum già ricco: Shannon ha intrapreso la carriera circense solo dopo un’importante formazione da ginnasta Samson, invece, ha iniziato a praticare la giocoleria fin dall’età di 10 anni. I due artisti americani hanno praticato numerose altre discipline sia nell’ambito dell’acrobatica che in quello dell’equilibrismo. Shannon e Samson porteranno in pista a Latina un numero di “trapezio di coppia” dal titolo “Gypsy flyers”: una danza aerea nella quale l’eleganza dei costumi e la grazia delle evoluzioni sono perfettamente combinate con l’elevata difficoltà dell’esibizione.

Two talented young pairs: the Duo Igor from and the , and the artists Shannon Maguire and Samson Finkelstein.

Never before has the selection process proved to be as difficult as it is this year for the ‘Artistic Commission’ of the Festival, whose job it is to select the participating acts for this 12th edition. So far they have received 261 applications from performers in all five continents. If the pace continues at this rate they expect to exceed 700 requests to participate. With six months to go until the curtain goes up on the 12th International Circus Festival “City of “, the producers proudly announce the first two acts to be officially included in the programme of this important annual circus event, which will take place in from October 14th to 18th, 2010.

The Duo Igor is made up of the young artists Mariusz Ogor from and Milana Ogorova from the . Whilst Mariusz already has 12 years experience of working in the world of the circus, his partner comes from the world of gymnastics. Both have already gained many International awards and recognition. They will be performing a ‘hand to hand’ number called ‘Adagio Acrobatico’: harmony and sensuality, combined with muscular strength, are the words that best describe this performance, which will leave the audience breathless with the masterly strength and control demonstrated by these two artists.

Shannon Maguire, 24, and her partner Samson Finkelstein, 22, are also partners in life.

They already have rich and excellent résumés: began her circus career following a long gymnastic training and competitive career, while Samson started juggling at ten years old. Both artists have worked in many circus disciplines, including acrobatics and equilibrism. Shannon and Samson will be performing a double trapeze number called ‘Gypsy Flyers’, an aerial dance in which the elegance of their costumes and the grace of their movements combine perfectly to complement the difficulty of the number.
