Al via la produzione della 12^ edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”

Archiviata l’11^ edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”, la produzione è già a lavoro nei Paesi dell’Est europeo ed in Asia per individuare i migliori artisti che saranno ammessi a partecipare alla dodicesima edizione per la quale sono già fissate le date: dal 14 al 18 Ottobre 2010.

Ad un mese dalla chiusura dell’undicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” è tempo di bilanci. Le cifre danno la misura del lavoro profuso e dei risultati ottenuti: 28 i numeri in gara, 14 le Nazioni presenti al Festival 300 le persone coinvolte, tra artisti, tecnici e produzione, 2.500 i pernottamenti pianificati dalla produzione e 600 i pasti confezionati e serviti quotidianamente nelle strutture del Festival. A livello logistico, dei 4000 mq destinati a spettacoli ed attività collaterali, oltre 3000 erano ricoperti interamente da moquette 4 km di cavi elettrici hanno distribuito 500 kW di potenza sviluppati dai gruppi elettrogeni. Le autovetture del Festival hanno percorso oltre 10.000 km per i servizi di accompagnamento degli artisti da e per gli aeroporti romani. Nei 9 spettacoli realizzati sono stati registrati 9 sold out che corrispondono a circa 15.000 spettatori. Un bilancio positivo, quindi, che sollecita gli organizzatori ad adoperarsi da subito affinché il Festival possa non soltanto mantenere l’autorevolezza fin qui conseguita ma possa aumentare ancora il proprio prestigio in termini di visibilità e di spettacolarità. E’ per questo che fin da subito prende avvio la produzione della dodicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” annunciata dal 14 al 18 Ottobre 2010.

I primi passi della macchina organizzativa sono stati mossi da Fabio Montico che, come Presidente dell’Associazione Culturale “G. Montico”, ha appena terminato un tour durante il quale, nel confermare quei rapporti di amicizia che legano il Festival italiano ai maggiori Festival di Circo di altri Paesi, ha potuto stabilire i primi contatti con personaggi di elevato profilo con l’intento di poterli annoverare tra gli ospiti del 12° Festival. In Cina, a Shijiazhuang, Fabio Montico ha partecipato, come membro di giuria, agli spettacoli  del Festival Internazionale del Circo di Wuqiao, svoltosi dal 2 all’8 novembre scorsi, ed ha consegnato il premio “Città di Latina” alla troupe acrobatica cinese Wuhan che si è esibita in uno straordinario numero alla corda. Durante il Festival di Wuqiao si è svolto pure  6° Forum mondiale del Circo nell’ambito del quale Montico, in veste di relatore, è intervenuto sul tema dell’imprenditorialità legata al Circo, sollecitando a riflettere circa l’esigenza di allestire la macchina circense intercettando in modo più efficace i gusti e le aspettative del più tradizionale pubblico del Circo, pur potendo dar seguito, entro limiti ragionevoli, ad una sapiente dimensione di innovazione e sperimentazione. Il tour si è completato con la visita alla città di Ekaterinburgo, in Russia, dove ha assistito, dal 16 al 26 novembre, agli spettacoli  del Festival Mondiale dei Clown. In questa occasione, Anatoly Marchevsky, attuale Direttore del Circo di Ekaterinburgo, ha assicurato la sua partecipazione all’edizione 2010 del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” in qualità di membro di Giuria. Altra partecipazione assicurata sembra essere quella di uno straordinario numero di elefanti addestrati dall’artista russo Andrei Kornilov al quale il Presidente Montico, ad Ekaterinburgo, ha personalmente consegnato un invito ufficiale.

The production of the International Circus Festival “City of ” opens the door to the 12^th edition

As soon as the 11^th edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina” has been stored, the production is already working in Eastern European countries and in Asia, to select the best artists that will have the possibility to take part in the twelfth edition, whose dates have already been fixed: from 14^th to 18^th October 2010.

After one month by the end of the eleventh edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, it’s time to draw up a balance. Numbers are helpful to have the measure of the work done and the results achieved: 28 acts competing, 14 countries 300 persons involved (artists, technicians, production) 2500 overnight stays planned by the production 600 meals prepared and served every day in the Festival facilities. In logistics’ field, have been used for shows and similar activities, and 3000 of these were entirely covered with moquette. 4 kms of electrics cables have spread 500 kws, powered by generators. The cars of the Festival have run over 10.000 kms for the shuttle service from/to Rome airports. 9 shows have been arranged and 9 have gone sold out, for an amount of about 15000 spectators. This is certainly a positive balance, that urges the organizers to work immediately, in order to keep the achieved authority and increase again its prestige in visibility and spectacularity. For that reason the production of the twelfth edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina” has already started and announces the following dates: from 14^th to 18^th October 2010.

The first steps of the organizing machine have been moved by , as President of the Cultural Association “G. Montico”. He has just finished a tour during which he has confirmed the numerous friendly relationships, that joins the Italian Festival with the major International festivals. He has also set the first contacts with high profile personages, aiming to invite them as special guests of the 12^th Festival. has been in Shijiazhuang (China), where he was member of the Jury, and he had the possibility to visit the shows of the International Circus Festival “City of Wuqiao”, held in the last November, from 2nd to 8th. On this occasion he awarded the Acrobatic Chinese Equipe Wuhan with the Prize “City of Latina”, for their extraordinary performance in a Cord act.

During the Wuqiao Festival the 6^th Circus World Forum was also held, during which Montico, as a speaker, talked about the subject of being businessmen in the Circus, urging to think upon the need to settle a circus machine both able to capture the tastes and the expectations of a traditional audience, and, while considering reasonable limits, to reach an experimental and wise dimension.

The tour ended with the visit to Ekaterinburg (Russia), where Montico, from 16th to 26th November, attended the shows of the World Clown Festival. On this occasion Anatoly Marchevsky, the present Director of Ekaterinburg Circus, ensured his participationin 2010 Festival, as member of the Jury. Another certain participation seems to be that of a huge number of elephants trained by the Russian artist Andrei Kornilov, who received the official invitation from the President himself.
