Il cast del Festival diventa… straordinariamente acrobatico!
A nove giorni dall’apertura della sua XII edizione, il Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” inserisce in scaletta tre ulteriori numeri provenienti dalla Spagna, dalla Cina e dall’Ungheria. “Mano a mano”, “barra russa” e “salti in banchina” confermano il ruolo centrale dell’acrobatica fra le discipline del Circo.
I fratelli spagnoli Adans e Ivan Peres si esibiscono con un numero di “mano a mano”, la disciplina che, fra le arti circensi, meglio rappresenta l’acrobatica di coppia. Legati al mondo del Circo da oltre 15 anni, i Peres Brothers coniugano il ballo e lo sport con le tecniche circensi. La padronanza della disciplina permette al duo di eseguire movimenti acrobatici di grande difficoltà tecnica con facilità e leggerezza. Adans e Ivan Peres nel corso della loro carriera hanno già conquistato i migliori piazzamenti nei più importanti Festival internazionali di Circo.
Dal sodalizio tra due troupe cinesi, Troupe e Troupe, nasce “Fairy of the Keys”, un numero di barra russa creato da Li Xining e Yang Jun. La raffinata performance è ambientata in una notte illuminata dalla Luna: un giovane pianista incontra una fata che gli mostra sorprendenti evoluzioni ed acrobazie. Il pianista, incantato da tanto spettacolo, trova d’improvviso l’ispirazione per far scivolare le sue mani sulla tastiera del pianoforte producendo così una musica soave. In “Fairy of the Keys” la tradizione del Circo cinese si combina con la moderna sperimentazione creando effetti di rara suggestione.
Enikő Hajagos, Richárd Kiss, Zoltán Szőts, Gábor Töttösi, e Gergely Bagdi sono i cinque artisti ungheresi che compongono il gruppo dei Quinterion. Laureati nel 2007 presso l’Hungarian State Performing Arts Institute, presentano al Festival il nuovo numero di “salti in banchina” creato quest’anno in collaborazione con il Maciva Master Studio. L’esibizione unisce la tradizione della danza popolare ungherese all’acrobatica circense dando vita ad un numero estremamente allegro ma nello stesso tempo dai toni romantici.

The cast of the Festival becomes… extraordinarily acrobatic!
With only 9 days to go until the start of the 12th edition, the International Circus Festival “City of ” adds three more numbers to the event, coming respectively from , and . “Hand to Hand”, “Russian bar” and “Banquine” underline the fundamental role of acrobatics among the many disciplines of the Circus.
Spanish brothers Adans and Ivan Peres are appearing with a hand to hand number, the discipline which, of all the Circus arts, best represents acrobatics in pairs. With 15 years of circus experience behind them, the Peres Brothers mix dance and sport with circus techniques. Their skill in this discipline allows them to execute technically difficult acrobatic movements with ease and grace. During their career Adans and Ivan Peres have already gained several important placings at International Circus Festivals.
The number “Fairy of the Keys” is the result of a joint effort between two Chinese troupes, the Jiangxi Acrobatic Troupe and the Flag Circus Troupe, in a Russian bar number created by Li Xining and Yang Jun. This elegant performance is set on a moonlit night: a young pianist meets a fairy who entrances him with the way she performs acrobatics and turns. The pianist, enchanted by such a wonderful vision, suddenly finds inspiration as his hands move over the keys of his piano, producing a gentle melody. In “Fairy of the Keys” the Chinese Circus tradition is blended with contemporary experimentation, resulting in a superbly evocative performance.
Enikő Hajagos, Richárd Kiss, Zoltán Szőts, Gábor Töttösi, and Gergely Bagdi are the five Hungarian artists who form the Quinterion group. Graduates of the Hungarian State Performing Arts Institute, they will be presenting a new “banquine” number at the Festival, created this year in collaboration with the Maciva Master Studio. The performance is a fusion of traditional Hungarian national dance and circus acrobatics, which combine to make an very energetic yet romantic number.
