Inserite ufficialmente due nuovi artisti nella scaletta dell’XI edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”: il giocoliere inglese Arron Sparks coniugherà la giocoleria con il gioco dello yo-yo il francese Tony Frebourg porterà a Latina il record mondiale nella specialità “diablo”.

LATINA, 23 Aprile 2009. La scaletta dell’XI edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” si va progressivamente definendo è ufficiale l’ammissione di due nuovi artisti a quella che si va affermando sempre più come una fra le maggiori e più ambite vetrine dell’arte circense a livello mondiale: si tratta del giocoliere inglese Arron Sparks e del diabolista francese Tony Frebourg. La partecipazione di Arron Sparks segna il ritorno della Gran Bretagna al Festival dopo tre anni di assenza. Il ventitreenne artista britannico porterà a Latina una disciplina non frequentemente rappresentata nel panorama dell’arte circense ma cara ai giovani di ogni generazione: lo yo-yo. La carriera di Arron Sparks, giovane originario del Southampton (UK) ed attualmente residente a Londra, ha inizio nel 1998 quando, all’età di 12 anni, inizia a studiare presso la scuola circense Circus Space di Londra. All’età di 18 anni si classifica al quarto posto nel Concorso Mondiale di yo-yo nel 2006 si aggiudica il titolo di “giocoliere britannico dell’anno”, fino a conseguire la nomina a Presidente dell’Associazione Britannica per lo yo-yo. Nel tempo Arron Sparks ha avuto modo di affinare la sua passione e di modellarla sull’arte della giocoleria e di altre forme di manipolazione, fino a scegliere il Circo come luogo privilegiato per sperimentare nuove tecniche e stili di volta in volta differenti. II numero che lo vedrà protagonista a Latina fonde lo stile circense classico a quello contemporaneo: esso mette insieme le indubbie abilità dell’artista con un sapiente uso delle scene e dei costumi. E’ dalla capitale francese che arriverà poi a Latina Tony Frebourg, un artista che mette insieme giocoleria e acrobatica nella specialità “diablo”: l’articolo di giocoleria di origine cinese, consiste di una sorta di clessidra orizzontale che viene fatta volteggiare tramite un cordino al quale lo strumento è appoggiato nel suo punto più sottile. Frebourg inizia la sua attività artistica come diablista nel 2000 per approdare dopo soli tre anni al famoso Moulin Rouge di Parigi, dove si è esibito fino al 2005. Già vincitore di due medaglie d’argento, in particolare nel 2004 al Festival Mondiale del Circo di Domani (Parigi), e nel 2005 al Festival Internazionale del Circo di Massy, Frebourg è tra i migliori artisti di diablo nel mondo. A Latina Frebourg si presenta con un numero che si distingue per la straordinaria tecnica, la rapidità nell’esecuzione del movimento e l’originalità delle figure: la straordinarietà del numero è legata all’utilizzo simultaneo di ben 6 diablo, performance che gli è valsa il record mondiale in questa disciplina.

Officially included, two new artists in the list of The International Circus Festival “City of ”: the British juggler Arron Sparks, who will join the juggling art with the yo yo game and the French Tony Frebourg who will bring to his world record in the speciality of “diabolo”.

The list of the International Circus Festival “City of ” is almost defined is officially, the admission of two new artists who will join an event which is going to become one of the main and much- desired showcase of the Circus art, at international level: the British juggler Arron Sparks and the French diabolist Tony Frebourg.

The presence of Arron Sparks sign the return of at the Festival, after three years of absence. The 23- years- old British artist will bring to Latina a discipline which is not often presented in the landscape of the circus arts but it is very close to younger of every generation: the yo yo. Arron Sparks, who comes from Southampton (UK), currently lives in London, he embarked on his career when in 1998, at the age of twelve, begun to study at the circus school Circus Space of . At the age of 18 he was placed fourth at The yo-yo world competition in 2006 we won the prize of “juggler of the year”, until he is appointed President of the British Association for the yo yo. During the last years Arron Sparks has the chance to refine his passion, modelling it on the juggling art and on other forms of manipulation until he chose the Circus as his favourite place to try out new techniques and different styles even more different. In the act he will be protagonist at Festival he melt the classic style of Circus with contemporary style: he knows how to join the undoubted abilities of the artist with a masterly use of the scenes and costumes.

On the other hand, comes from the French capital the guy who puts together the juggler art with acrobatics in the speciality of “diabolo”: the item of juggling, comes from and it consists on a kind of horizontal hourglass which is circling by the string on which the item is leaned in the finest spot. Frebourg begin his activity in 2000 as a diabolist, til he gets after only three years at the popular Moulin Rouge of Paris, where he performs until 2005. Frebourg is one of the main artists in the world for the diabolo and he has already won two silver medals, especially in 2004, at the International Festival Cirque De Demain, (Paris), and at the International Festival of Massy Circus. He comes in Latina with an act marked by an extraordinary technique, the rapidity of the moves and by the originality of the shapes: the peculiarity of his act comes from the simultaneous use of 6 diabolos, a performance that allowed him to conquer the world record in the discipline.
