IL FESTIVAL DI LATINA RAPPRESENTATO AD IZHEVSK

La produzione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” ha portato a termine il viaggio in Russia durante il quale ha avuto numerose occasioni di incontro con importanti esponenti dell’arte circense mondiale nonché con i rappresentanti delle istituzioni nazionali.

LATINA, 30 Marzo 2009. La macchina organizzativa del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” è entrata nel vivo dei lavori di allestimento della sua XI edizione in programma dal 15 al 19 Ottobre 2009. L’associazione culturale “Giulio Montico”, che dal 1999 produce il Festival, sta puntando in queste settimane decisamente su due obiettivi: visionare nei più importanti contesti circensi europei i migliori numeri da inserire nel cartellone del Festival, e rafforzare le relazioni tra i rappresentanti istituzionali delle arti circensi dei diversi Paesi interessati da questa nobile arte. A tal fine la produzione del Festival, coordinata dal Presidente Fabio Montico, si è recata in Russia, dal 2 all’11 Marzo, nella Repubblica di Urdmutia, ex URSS qui Montico ha partecipato come giurato alla seconda edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo di Izhevsk. Prestigiosi i nomi dei giurati con i quali Montico ha condiviso l’onore e l’onere di assegnare i premi, tra cui anche quello intitolato alla città di Latina, più volte presenti anche nel capoluogo pontino, come: Urs Pilz, Gao Yue, Bruno Lalloy, Maxim Nikulin, Dirk Kuik, Vladimir Shevchenko, Dmitry Ivanov, Leonid Kostiuk, Nikolay Kobzov. La giuria è stata presieduta da Mstislav Zapashny. Tra gli artisti in competizione, inoltre, va segnalato il verticalista Elayne Kramer (vincitrice del Latina d’Argento durante il VII Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” nel 2005), i Curatola Brothers, performers italiani della specialità denominata “mano a mano”, nonché David Larible, clown di fama mondiale. La città di Latina, che sempre più si avvia ad acquisire la connotazione di “città italiana del Circo”, è stata rappresentata in Russia tramite l’assegnazione di un premio speciale assegnato dal Presidente Montico al numero di elefanti indiani del russo Andrey Dementiev-Kornilov. La rilevanza assegnata nei Paesi dell’Est al mondo del Circo da parte delle istituzioni è notevole: il Presidente della Repubblica di Urdmutia, Alexander Volkov, ha ricevuto Montico presso la sua residenza in un’occasione conviviale. Durante tale incontro Montico ha potuto rivolgere al Presidente della Repubblica Volkov l’invito ufficiale a partecipare quale Autorità all’undicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. Il viaggio in Russia si è concluso con la partecipazione al gala di premiazione dei vincitori del Golden Bufoon Show presso il Bolshoi Circus di Mosca.

The producers of the International Circus Festival “City of ” have completed the trip to during which they had numerous occasions of meeting important world circus personalities as well as the representatives of the local national political institutions.

, March 30^th, 2009. The organization of the 11^th International Circus Festival “City of “, in program from October 15^th to 19^th 2009, has been fully started. The Cultural Association “Giulio Montico”, that has produced the Festival since 1999, is decidedly aiming at two main points in these weeks: to look for the best available acts in the most famous circus schools and to strengthen the relationships among the circus art institutional representatives of the different countries. For these reasons a delegation of the Latina Festival, presided by the President Fabio Montico, has been in , , from the 2^nd to the 11^th of March, where Fabio Montico has been jury member during the 2^nd International Circus Festival of Izhevsk. The international jury, presided by Mstislav Zapashny, was composed by important personalities, such as: Urs Pilz, Gao Yue, Bruno Lalloy, Maxim Nikulin, Dirk Kuik, Vladimir Shevchenko, Dmitry Ivanov, Leonid Kostiuk, Nikolay Kobzov. Among the artists in competition, there were three performers already known: the hand stand act of Elayne Kramer (winner of the Latin of Silver during the 7^th International Circus Festival”City of ” in 2005), the Curatola Brothers, Italian performers, as well as David Larible, clown of world fame. The city, which is becoming always more the “ of Circus”, has been represented in through the assignment of a special award assigned by the President Montico to the Indian elephants act performed by the Russian Andrey Dementiev-Kornilov. The importance that Institutions of East Countries assigns to Circus art is notable: the President of the , Alexander Volkov, has received Fabio Montico in his residence for a formal meeting and lunch. During this meeting Montico has officially invited Mr. Volkov, the President of the Republic, to participate to the eleventh International Circus Festival “City of “. The trip to has been concluded by participating to the gala show of the Goldon Buffon organized by the Great Moscow State Circus – Bolshoi Circus.
